CST Experiences

Our cafe re-opened in February 2024 under the management of our charity, Children’s Sailing Trust, so every sip and nibble goes towards supporting the charitable sailing programme. Chef Andrei cook his delicious brunch menu to order and you definitely have to book ahead for his Sunday roast…!

Experience Watersports in Cornwall Accessible | Activities | Adventures | Events

We’re on a mission to bring the best experiences to people of all ages and all abilities with our watersports activities, lakeside activities and range of events here in West Cornwall.

We welcome everyone from 6 to 106 on the water, no matter if you’re a beginner or a pro, physically restricted or visually impaired, unsure or over-excited – everyone deserves to experience the freedom and fun of being out on the water.

Children’s Sailing Trust (CST) operates all adult and youth sailing courses and powerboating from our Helford River location, supported by our new purpose-built site at Trevassack Lake, where the majority of our accessible watersports activities and land-based events take place, just ten minutes from Helston on the Lizard peninsula.

We are Children's Sailing Trust, bringing not-for-profit experiences to everyone, no matter your age or ability.
The money we make through CST Experiences goes back to supporting the Trust in providing accessible watersports for school children.

What's On

From Taster Days to try out all we have to offer, to hiring our Helston site as a spectacular waterside wedding venue, book the Learning Centre for a corporate event or find out about lessons held at Trevassack Lake, like Pilates by Pip.

Accessible Activities

Our trained instructors are happy to help with all abilities and our adapted craft at Trevassack mean everyone has the chance to get out on the water with ease.

Lakeside facilities include level access, Changing Place changing rooms, hoists and Hearing Loops, catering for a wide range of physical and SEN disabilities.

Where to find Watersports in Cornwall

We are lucky enough to have two waterside locations in Cornwall; Children’s Sailing Trust has operated along the Helford River for 25 years and in 2015 bought Trevassack Quarry which opened late 2021 as an accessible watersports centre around the freshwater lake.
